Programme Overview

This course will introduce you to government’s monitoring and evaluation system, which is designed to track and report on government’s performance.

Initially we’ll explore monitoring and evaluation as separate management functions. Once the link between them is established, we’ll discuss the government’s outcomes-based approach and the importance of the Government-Wide Monitoring and Evaluation System (GWMES).

You will learn what supports need to be in place for good monitoring ad evaluation, as well as how to develop a GWMES-compliant framework for monitoring and evaluation practices for your own department or administration.
